Marriage refraining

People’s minds are filed with independence,

everyone wants to be independent,

no one wants to feel attachédto anyone.

They talk of marriage refraining,

gone are the days where marriage

was a blessing from God.

People get married for their own individual

benefit and not of both counterparts.

Gone are the days of serious relationships,

of commitment, and dedication,

of respect to our loved ones.

Now it’s all about giving it a try,

and see if it works,

if it doesn’t you leave.

No hard feelings.

It’s just a game, at the end.

What happened to a sense of glooming your partner?

If there’re mistakes, work on them together,

coz nothing beats unity, and solidarity.

Everyone wants to be on their own,

people don’t want to be owned, at all.

That’s what they feel about marriage.

Gone are the days where partners will be-

faithful,

respectful,

and watchful.

The sense of love is vanquished,

there’s no intimacy, nor fantasy.

Most women mourn the death of “love”…

They don’t wanna be involved any more.

They mourn the death of husbands they’ve

been dreaming for, just to refrain from a marriage

marriage they never tested.

It was all an imagination.

I think we should pray to God,

that the spirit of love comes back

we should reminisce the notion that “two” is good than “one”

and that three is better than two,

for those who still believe in polygamy.

We should pray for every marriage to last, for ever.

We should pray for eternal love and

not for materialistic one.

People should feel the sense of being in love,

to be loved back in return.

To be faithful to one another,

to be watchful of each other,

to be respectful to the other.

In this way, marriage refrainance will be diminished.

We’ll enjoy the benefits and pitfalls that come with it.
